Everyvalve Ltd indicates some of the trends of the week with demands on its varied range of metal and plastics valves and also new products that come available over a some time.

PP Ball Valve 90 Degrees

PP Reinforced 90 Deg Ball Valve

The primary application for this valve is in various environments, but its material and specifications allow for several general plumbing and industrial uses:​

  • Water Supply Systems: Due to its absolute a toxicity (non-toxic), it is suitable for isolating or regulating potable (drinking) water lines.

  • Chemical Handling: With good chemical resistance (a property of polypropylene), it can be used for conveying or controlling various mild chemicals, acids, or bases in industrial or agricultural settings.

  • Space-Saving Plumbing: Its elbow compact design means it can change the direction of the piping system (a 90-degree turn) while simultaneously providing shut-off functionality, saving space and reducing the number of fittings required.

  • General Fluid Interception: As a ball valve, its fundamental purpose is to provide quick, reliable ON/OFF control (interception) of fluid flow in any low-to-medium pressure system.


Here are some of the common Pros and Cons

 

Pros (Advantages)

- Marine Certification : Ensures reliability and safety for critical applications below the waterline of a vessel.

- Atoxicity : Safe for use with potable water and applications in the food or beverage industry.

- Chemical & Thermal Performance : Features good chemical resistance and excellent thermal stability, providing a longer service life in challenging environments.
- Corrosion-Proof : Made of polypropylene, it will not rust or corrode, making it ideal for wet or saltwater environments where metal valves fail.

- Compact Elbow Design: Reduces complexity and space requirements by combining the function of a valve and a 90-degree elbow fitting.

- Pressure Rating: Rated for PN16, with an operating pressure of 10 bar at 20°C, suitable for standard plumbing systems.

Cons (Disadvantages)

While the product is high quality for its category, plastic ball valves have inherent limitations
compared to metal alternatives:

- Pressure and Temperature Limits: It has a limited maximum working temperature of 80°C. It is not suitable for high-temperature steam or industrial processes, and its pressure rating is lower than that of high-pressure brass or stainless steel valves.

 - Mechanical Strength: Polypropylene is less resistant to impact damage or physical abuse than metal valves. It can be susceptible to damage from excessive force or over-tightening during installation.
- Abrasion: While chemically resistant, plastic is generally softer than metal and may experience faster wear if used in applications involving highly abrasive slurries or solids.

- Flow Regulation: Like most ball valves, it is an ON/OFF isolation valve and is not designed for fine-tuned throttling or flow regulation.

- Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to metal valves, polyethene valves are often a more economical choice, both in terms of initial cost and long-term maintenance.

PLASTIC BALL FLOAT VALVE PVC-U

The ball float is connected to a lever arm that is attached to a valve stem. As the water level in the tank rises, the ball float rises with it. This causes the lever arm to pivot, which in turn closes the valve stem and stops the flow of water into the tank. When the water level falls, the ball float descends, which opens the valve stem and allows water to flow into the tank again.

Here are some of the common uses of ball float valves:
- Preventing overflow in tank.
- Regulating water level in various application i.e : aquariums, fountains.

- Cooling towers.
